Christmas Letter 2013

Here are a few highlights from our year:

Trip to Pella for the Annual Tulip festival

Boy Fun!

The boys love going on tractor rides with Daddy!

Five years in August. This picture was taken on our anniversary.

Horse back riding at my parent's. Caleb was a natural!

First day of preschool! He goes 2 mornings a week and loves it!

Matt and I completed our first half marathon together in September. Matt's an old pro and has run several half and 4 (!) full marathons, but this was the longest I had ever run!

Gunther turned 1 in October. He liked the cupcakes. :)

Caleb turned 3 in September. This is him riding on his birthday 4 wheeler wearing his Bob the Builder Halloween costume.

The boys are getting to the age where they are starting to really enjoy playing together. So fun!

We love going on family nature walks!

An apple orchard we visited this fall.

For Thanksgiving we went to Colorado to visit family and went to several local attractions. This photo was at the Air Force Academy.

A great year!

Colorado 2013

For Thanksgiving this year we went to visit my sister-in-law in Colorado. We made a week out of it and visited several local attractions. It was a great time!

At Focus on the Family

Visiting the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Definitely a highlight! The boys loved it! The elephants were C's favorite.

Petting a giraffe (!) We were up on platforms around the giraffe pen so we were at the level of their heads. We were even able to feed them some lettuce leaves you could buy there. Caleb was excited about feeding the giraffes, but when a giraffe got close he got scared and threw the lettuce into the pen. :)

The view was amazing!

Gunther and Boppa.

Snowman building fun!

Reading with cousin Sam.

At the Air Force Academy.

The Chapel at the Academy.

Garden of the Gods

Making a pressed penny at the summit of Pike's Peak.

Caleb Turns 3!

We celebrated Caleb's 3rd birthday a few weeks ago. He had three parties over the course of a week! He didn't mind, of course! Here are a few pictures from his celebrations.

On Labor day we celebrated with Matt's side of the family.

G enjoying Caleb's presents.

On Caleb's actual birthday he had his first day of preschool! He loved it!

Caleb also got a battery powered 4-wheeler. We were a little late ordering it online and it was set to be delivered on the day after his birthday. We were pleasantly surprised when it came early on his actual birthday! Matt put it together quickly while Caleb was napping and then we surprised him when he woke up. He rode it so much the first few day he would use up the battery by the afternoon!

Gunther trying it out too.

Caleb picked a Lightening McQueen theme for his party.

On the weekend after Caleb's birthday we celebrated with my family.

We love our precious little three year old boy! It was fun to celebrate him all week long!
